Q) How long have you been blogging?

A) I have been blogging for three years.


Q) Why did you start a blog?

A) I have always been really creative and high energy, and it first began as just a creative outlet. Then it turned into something more as I realized it had a lot of potential!



Q) How do bloggers get paid to blog?

A.) Companies collaborate with you, meaning they offer your products (and monetary compensation) to try a product and talk about it, or to take a vacation and tag them where you stay. There are lots of various ways to get paid, but the people paying you are sponsors, you are essentially advertising for brands. Most blogs are honest and only advertise for brands they truly love.


Q) Where do I start?

A) If you want to start a blog, you need to first decide why. Why is the question every blogger needs to ask to be successful, because it inspires purpose. Nobody likes to read a blog with no purpose. I always say ask yourself these Why's

Why am I doing this? Meaning, what is motivating me? What will continue to motivate me? In 6 months will I get burnt out because I never knew why I started?

Why do people want to read your blog? You can be a pretty person, and to be honest there are probably ten thousand bloggers very much just like you. Why do people want to read YOUR blog?

That is just to start. That's just the beginning. There is so much more that goes into it. People have no idea how hard blogs can be, influencers make it look so flawlessly easy, but behind the camera are so many moments of frustration, discouragement, and probably even tears. But just like any job, there are good days and there are bad. You have to really be passionate about it to stay with it. A lot of people want to start a blog and they go in thinking it will be easy, and they learn quickly that it is not, and they usually give up. Read my post about how to start a blog for more.



Q) What blog site do you use?

A) I use squarespace.


Q) How do you have time to blog?

A) I make time for it. It's really important to me to express myself creatively in writing, fashion, sewing. Blogging is my outlet. It means a lot to me to be able to connect with others, and so I make time for it. Just like anything you love to do, it has to be a priority. I wake up at 4am most mornings to get work done, and to blog. I have woken up at 3AM for photoshoots before, that is not very uncommon. But I love it. I love what
